 Rice Bubble Slice

by Ike

Today I decided to make rice bubble slice.

Last time I made it it didn’t make enough so I had to do another batch. So this time I’m making more so I’m doubling the whole recipe.

So first I measured butter then sugar and honey on the scales.

Then I put it on the fire to melt together.

Next I added the rice bubbles, 8 cups full.

Then mixed it in well, ate some, then squished it into the tray.

Now it’s in the fridge getting cold so we can eat it later. πŸ™ƒ☺️πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‹πŸ« πŸ‘πŸ₯·πŸˆ❤️πŸ™‚πŸ˜±πŸ₯ΆπŸ‘πŸ˜€❤️πŸ—Ύ☺️πŸ₯½πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ˜πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜€πŸŒˆπŸ˜–πŸŒˆπŸ₯·πŸ˜ŠπŸ«

We had some in the afternoon. It was yummy, mouthwatering, sweet and sticky.

My slice is very crunchy next time I make it I will put some lollies in it.

Willow has made the paper flower art activity

Willow has done XARO117 Harakeke

I harvested flax from our huge flax bush next to our pond. I only took the outside leaves because you have to leave the inside 3 for the flax to keep growing.

My weaving from the online art module Harakeke (flax). I made fish, ninja stars as Matariki stars and a wasp nest.

We got heaps of apples from a fair at Okiwi Bay (somebody owns an orchard and they were extras). So we decided to bake some healthy apple cakes and loaves. We used less sugar than in the recipe because the apples were already quite sweet. And 2 of the loaves had oats in the recipe so it was nearly like a breakfast cake!

Willow has completed the wool Art module in My Te Kura

Friendship bracelets from the wool online art module we looked at. This is how I do it...you have 7 strands and always 1 gap free. From the left, you skip 2 strands and move the 3rd one into the slot. I got a really cool spiral pattern using only 2 colors and starting with each colour separated.
