Nataliah went to Doubtful Sounds

 Two weeks ago we went to Doubtful Sounds. It took us thirty mins to get there. On the way everyone asked if we could play in the snow. The snow was very deep. Me and dad made snowballs to fight with. I got dad really good on the back. 

When we got to Doubtful Sounds, it was stunning. What made it stunning was the snow on the mountains, sun sparkling on the lake and it was all part of the adventure. I say thank you mum and dad for the amazing experience.

Skye has been doing some snorkeling and biking

I have just learnt to snorkel. 

It is so much fun because I get to see…

clownfish , blue spotted ray and blue starfish.

Sara is Doctor Shelby today. The next time I am sick I will visit Doctor Shelby

 

Skye has made a house out of Lego.

 

Skye has written a great story about taking the bike to shore.

 I woke up and dad got up onto the deck because me and Ocean were really noisy and then I got up on the deck. Mum and Ocean got up too. 

We got the bikes out and then we pulled the dinghy in. We put the bikes in the dinghy and then Dad started the motor.Then we hooned off to shore. When we were in the dinghy, I put my shoes on. 

When we got there we put the bikes on the jetty. 

Ocean said he needed his shoes. Mum chucked them on the jetty.

Ocean has been making a boat out of his Lego

 

Ocean opened the box and out came...

 I opened the box and out came a puppy dog and a parrot. The parrot and the puppy dog jumped out of the box. The puppy ran away and the parrot flew to a tree.

The puppy went to a trashcan to find something to eat because the puppy was very hungry. 

The parrot sat up in the tree looking down at everybody in their cars, driving past and everybody walking past. The parrot  started to feel very very hot in the sun. The sun was shining down on the poor parrot. It’s feathers felt like they were gonna catch on fire. 

The parrot flew over to a nearby house and got some shade from the balcony. He felt much better.

Tildy opened the box and out came......

 I carefully opened the lid of the box and out jumped the most adorable puppies with little white patches all over them. They jumped all over me and started licking my face with their rough tongues. 

They had the tiniest ears and bluest eyes ever. 

Their sharp little claws scratched me on my legs and they smelt so nice. I wanted to cuddle them all day!

 I carefully opened the box and saw a big world in a tiny box. Every big thing in the normal world was tiny and everything small was massive. 

There were massive bees the size of a big car and birds the size of two bees. If the birds saw me, they would fly away into the trees and dive into the sea.

I carefully jumped into the box and saw a big…what was it? It looked like a pool of water. I wanted to get out, now that I had jumped in. 

As soon as I said that, a portal appeared out of the other side of the pool of water, but there were crocodiles in the water. The pool of water was massive, 

but there was only one way to go around it. 

Suddenly, a bee came down. I knew what I had to do. I had to ride it.

So, with no messing around I jumped on. Luckily the bee was going in the right direction. 

Out of the blue, a big spider came down. He looked hungry. I was too concentrated on looking at the spider than where I was going. The bee made a  tight turn and I fell off into the pool and landed on a crocodile's back. It turned and turned and it threw me off. 

Luckily, I was on shore and I put my hand into the portal. I vanished into thin air and I was back home again.

Sara has written a story about her doll.

 This is Daisy. I love her so much and I want her to stay with me and I want her to breath. No actually she can drink water. Daisey has a baby called Dolly. She is much more of a big girl than Daisy.

I don't know how she can do it and I don't know how it happened.

Aiden has made a pen holder

 

This is Aiden William Love. I’m holding a decorated “Milo” tin. I decorated it with some gold glitter! I stuck that gold glitter with some glue!. I’m going to put some coloured glitter, (Purple + can be mixed with: 

• Pink

• Blue

• Mixing with silver hearts

Sara went to REAP House this week and she played the Cow game with Donna.

 

Lucy had her last netball game for the season

 On Saturday we went to Greymouth to play our last netball game. The game started at 9am so we had to be there at 8:30am. We left our house at 7:30am because it takes an hour to get to Greymouth. I wasn’t too impressed by being woken up by 6:45am. I was so sleepy.  

When we got to Greymouth it was cold, wet and windy. It was ok playing at first but then your fingers got numb and cold. My shoes got wet. 

When the game had ended I raced to the car to get changed into warm clothes and then give my netball dress back to our coach. 

I reckoned the umpire was a bit hard on us because when we kept dropping the ball. Our hands were so cold we couldn’t hold the ball. 

When the game finished we got 9 goals and the other team got 13 goals. 9 goals was the most we have ever gotten.

Phoenix is going to have a bonfire

 We got the pole saw and got gas and started to cut the trees. Then we started to pull the branches and put them in a big pile. When we were done chopping wood we put a tarp on top of the pile to keep the wood dry. We are going to make a big bonfire on our lawn.
