Skye's story from IROO289 Volcanoes

 Mount Yasur Volcano

Mount Yasur is an active volcano in Vanuatu. 1,000’s of people visit Mount Yasur every

year.

Volcanoes are made by molten hot magma that bursts through the earth's crust also tectonic

plate movement.

Mount Yasur is a stratovolcano, meaning it has a cone shape, the ones that kids normally

draw.

I visited Mount Yasur and I was scared of the booming sounds. This is me walking up the old

path.

 

Volcanoes are remarkable. Active volcanoes are visited frequently by tourists. They are a

dangerous part of our world because you never know when they might erupt next.
