The Bee Sting by Tildy

THE BEE STING!

Lucy and Tom were going for a walk in the park because it was a hot day. Lucy was ten and her little brother was four. Lucy  had bare feet because she forgot her shoes. They were walking on the green soft grass. It felt soft on her bare feet. On the grass were flowers and bees were buzzing around the flowers.

They sat down and watched the bees get nectar from the flowers. Lucy saw a tūī sitting in a kōwhai tree.

Lucy shouted, “There’s a tūī!”

She got up and walked closer to the tūī. As she went closer to the tui, she wasn’t looking where she was going and stood on a bee.

She screamed and cried. Tom ran to Lucy and asked what had happened.

“I got stung by a bee!” screamed Lucy. “It really hurts! I want to go back to the house!!”

Tom helped Lucy limp back to the house. Mum pulled out the sting.

Mum told Lucy “Next time put on shoes when you go outside.”

Willow and Winter went fishing. Watch the video to see what they saw.

Willow and Winter went fishing at the wharf in Okiwi Bay. Winter caught 2 big herring and Willow caught 3 small ones and an octopus! They also saw sting rays and one snapped Winter's hooks off so that made it time to go home!
