Annabelle has been tailing the lambs
I was covered with little blood splatters. It was tailing time, the most fun but boring part of the year. It was fun because we had people over but it was boring because it felt like it lasted forever!!!!!
First we had to go and get the sheep in with their lambs. We had to separate the sheep from the lambs. The lambs were very feisty and tried to jump out of the pen.
We picked up the lambs and put them into the cradle. There are three things that happen to the lambs…
Vaccination.
Ear marking.
Using the hot iron to sizzle their tails off!
Maisie had a scary moment on the boat
Dad said, “Are you guys ready?”
Pip said “Almost.”
As soon as dad got in the car, the boat started going down the ramp. The boat was at the end of the ramp, going down very fast. As soon as the boat hit the water, lots of water came in and washed some of the lures out of the boat. It washed the bung out too.
Mum was yelling, “STOP!” But there was no stopping now and mum didn’t put the motor down.
As soon as we were on the water mum said “GET THE BOAT GOING!”
Pip got the boat going, but the motor wasn’t locked down so it kept stopping and going. So, mum managed to get the boat to the beach.
Mum and I found a container and a bowl that had holes in it 🥣. We bucketed the water out.
Pip and I were in our wetsuits and mum used some clothes to be a bung.
Our friend called Dennise came and dad went to make a bung. Dennise helped us turn the boat around. Dad came and he put the plastic bung in. “That didn't really work well.” I thought.
Dad said, “Do you still want to go biscuiting?”
I said, “Ok.”
Pip said, “No.”
But I convinced her to come.
When we came back the boat went on the trailer perfectly.

Mark has a hedgehog under his sleepout
I was in my sleep out asleep when I woke up to something making a noise. It was making a snuffling noise. So I told my mum and she got a light. We saw a hedgehog. It was round and had spikes. It was walking away. Then some days later when I was trying to sleep, I heard it again.
I haven't heard it since but it may still be sleeping under the sleep out without making noise.
The Sunset by Lucy
I looked out of the back door and saw something beautiful. It was a sunset. Good weather is on the way. ‘Red skies at night, shepherds delight’.
The colours were so pretty, pinks, reds and oranges. When I see sunsets, I stop and stare, pleased that warm weather is on the way.
After a moment, I walked away and never looked at it again.

Aria had fun at Time Zone.
Yesterday I went to Time Zone. I went with Uncle James. I liked playing Mario Kart.
Here is the second part of Bailey's circus story.
Part 2
Bright lights flashed all around and acrobats came rolling out. Everyone went crazy. The whole tent was shaking and all us kids were screaming in excitement.
Once the ring master had finished her introduction and the lights and smoke had started to clear, we could see 2 cowboys in the ring. They had some stock whips and some newspaper.
“What on earth are they going to do with that?” I thought.
Next thing I know the guy cowboy was holding out a sheet of newspaper at arm's length, right in front of his body. The girl cowboy had taken her position a wee bit in front of him. She cracked her whip a few times off to the side.
OH MY GOSH, it made the loudest cracking sound I’d ever heard.
Once she was ready and felt confident, she started hitting the newspaper with the whip.

My Two Trophies
When the Announcer called my name I was SO excited, happy and surprised at the same time!!!
I walked up and took my trophy for best lamb and I sat down.
2 minutes later they said, “And the trophy for best goat goes to…. Anita Ferguson!!!
I got up AGAIN and got my 2nd trophy. I thought, OH MY GOSH, 2 TROPHIES!!!
I sat down again and I showed my sisters and my cousins (because they were there with us)
After that I showed Mum and she was very surprised!!
I had to put my trophies back on the table so that they could get my name engraved on them.
Ashley took her calf to Pet Day
I was a bit nervous because I was with strangers. I took my pet calf to the Collingwood pet day. My calf is called Amy. She won a blue ribbon.
Hannah got a Yellow ribbon at Pat Day
I took Lucy to pet day. Lucy is my pet lamb. We got a yellow ribbon.
Tildy has been looking after some lambs
We have 8 pet lambs because their mums didn’t want them.
Everyday we go out and check the sheep and lambs. If there is a skinny and sad lamb we take it back to the house. Then we feed it and put it in a warm place.
At the moment, we have some on the bucket and some we are hand feeding.
At night, they sleep in a special shed with straw to keep them warm.
Maisie is entering a writing competition
The sun was shining in through my window. Today was going to be another perfect day for helping others.
I got up. I got dressed into my superhero outfit and started the day with some waffles, blueberries, cooked bananas and strawberries (all of the super fruits).
My name is Scarlet. I have a superpower. I can make happy and joyful emotions and give them to people.
I walked out the door and I went down to the grocery shop. I bought some fruit ( apples, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, pears and oranges).
I was walking up my driveway and I got to my house. I put my fruit in my kitchen and went down to the park.
I saw a little girl who had dropped her ice cream. Tears were running down her cheeks.
I thought of an emotion to give her. I gave her a happy emotion. She stopped crying and had a smile on her face.
I went down to the grocery shop and bought an ice cream with every flavour.
I took the ice cream down to the park and I looked around for the girl. She was sitting on the swing.
I went over to the swing and said, “Do you want this ice cream?”
She said, “YES!” She had a big smile on her face.
I gave her the ice cream and she started eating it. My job was done here.
Later that day I walked up to my house and stepped inside. I took my shoes off and got into some comfortable clothes. I thought about what I would have for tea, maybe some fruit. I got the fruit out of the fridge (apples, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, pears and oranges). All the SUPER fruits.

Sara's story
The cat story
The cat was named Nev.
A beautiful flash white bunny came hopping along. Then a puppy dog came along, her name was Katie.
A little girl came along named Sara. They all played together in the field filled with butterflies and grasshoppers. Happily ever after. The end.
Phoenix has been writing some great recipes
PHOENIX’S FRIED CHICKEN
We made fried chicken.We put corn flour, salt,pepper,
Ginger and coriander in a large bowl. We then put some chicken pieces in the bowl then rolled the chicken in the flour mix.
We then put three tablespoons of pork dripping into a fry pan. We put the chicken into the hot fry pan too. It took about 20 minutes to cook.
We ate the fried chicken once it was cooked! It tasted
Yummy yummy in my tummy!
PHOENIX’S BOGAN BURGERS.
We put beef and pork mince in a bowl. Then mixed it up
and made meat patties. We fried the patties, flip it over 2 times, put cheese on top of the patties, letting the cheese melt. Mustard, tomato sauce, pickle, onions, fried egg, beetroot and tomatoes went into the bugger bun.It tasted yummy yummy in my tummy.
Tillie went fishing
Yesterday we went fishing and got 3 snapper, 4 gurnard and 2 grey boys. We took them home and cut them up. Dad cooked them in batter and we ate them for dinner with chips.

Zane has been riding his motorbike
I went motorbiking in the holidays. I was in Karamea. The road was muddy.
